I know it's still early, but the application process starts in 2 days and I'm getting antzy about just applying. I saw past threads on here about previous cohort application process and wanted to start one for the summer cohort. I'm applying with one of my friends from school, and we both have Vandy as our #1 choice.
Anyone else on here thinking about applying soon?
It's good to know that I wasn't the only one sending mine in the week before. :) Lovelymo79 what is your first choice?
I'm actually trying to move to Texas! There are so many internships..but they are SOO competitive so I'm trying to put my foot into everything! I also work as a PCT at a hospital for almost 2 years (1 as a CNA on a cardiac floor) so I'm keeping my pinky toe in that hospital JUST IN CASE..to see if I can work my way into a job there if needed.
But, I'm really interested in moving to Texas and getting an internship there (Baylor, Parkland, St. David's..ya know..the one EVERYONE and their MAMA wants..lol!!)

Why Texas? Is it because of the job opportunity or have you lived there before? I'm kind of in a position where I've never thought about anywhere else then moving back home to Nashville and working at Vandy. Knowing the possibility that my plans will not necessarily have the outcomes I want, I've been kinda exploring other default options.
I absolutely dislike Michigan, have nothing holding me back and want to get out of here!! I am currently sitting at home because of a blizzard and missing 2 of my 12hr shifts with my preceptor. Not fun! :)

I visited about 2 years ago and really liked it. I went to San Antonio but I heard so many great things about Dallas and Houston. I'm actually going to go visit next month during my spring break. I'm also trying to get all my apps out so if needed, I can interview while I'm already down there. I just need to get OUT of Jersey and this snow! A new beginning in a new place:)
You never know..your plans may come through!
Sooo...it's the 2nd week of February...aren't we suppose to be hearing SOMETHING this week??
