Vanderbilt Summer 2020 Nurse Residency

Hey everyone! Just thought I would create a page for us to chat about the upcoming application process and everything that follows! I graduate in May 2020 and am hoping to apply for the CVICU or the adult ED.

Specializes in Neonatal ICU.

@samkit102092 From what I have seen with their past residencies they have always hired 14 new grad nurses in NICU. So hopefully it will be the same for the Summer.

@BHrn Yeah they are pretty big because they are the only level 4 in our area so all of the hospitals send their really sick babies there if they don't have the equipment to take care of them. The children's hospital is right next to the main hospital. So you would just take the shuttles, which is nice that you would haven't to go far out.

The email I got said late February. So I'm expecting probably next week.

The past two years they have started calling the 20th-28th!

I just got invited for an interview in the adult ED! I received a text message and email.

congrats!! thats so exciting! has anyone else heard anything? I wonder if they call by department, alphabetical order, track choice, etc.

I was wondering that too. I haven't heard anything yet. I'm getting unnecessarily nervous about this now lol

I got a text and email today with an invitation to interview for L&D. Has anyone else heard back?
