Hey everyone! Just thought I would create a page for us to chat about the upcoming application process and everything that follows! I graduate in May 2020 and am hoping to apply for the CVICU or the adult ED.

Maybe just certain units have gone out so far because there's a lot of people here interested in Peds/NICU and doesn't look like anyone has heard anything about those units. Good luck to everyone!! If you haven't heard back yet, no news is good news, still means you're in the running!!

I was thinking the same thing. I'm kinda thinking I played myself by putting NICU as my first option. I didn't realize it would be so popular. But I'm still hoping!
Does Vanderbilt, or any hospital in the Nashville area for that matter, require nurses to wear a certain color of scrubs? Or can you wear whatever? A lot of hospital by me in Southern California require certain positions to wear certain colors. For example nurses wear blue, CNAs wear maroon, docs wear green, etc.

@EDboundSN Vandy allows you to wear any color, the only area I am unsure of ED. I believe ED where's all black at Vandy. Vandy however lets you wear Vandy t-shirts and gear with your scrub bottoms so you don't have to actually wear a standard scrub top with them. Centennial or for that matter all HCA hospitals here nurses wear Navy blue scrubs even in the ED, and St. Thomas all nurses wear sky blue.
Anyone who applied to NICU/peds tracks hopefully should be hearing today, I just heard back regarding interview this morning.

It starts with J. However, I don't believe they are going by alphabet as one of my good friends received notification of interview yesterday for L & D and her last name starts with S. A few people in my class also received interview invites but they were all for adult specialities from what I am aware. What did you apply for as your first choice?
I applied for peds float pool as my very first choice and then peds acute
