Hey everyone! Just thought I would create a page for us to chat about the upcoming application process and everything that follows! I graduate in May 2020 and am hoping to apply for the CVICU or the adult ED.

Hi! Thanks for making this thread. I'm applying for labor and delivery and thinking about NICU. I'm curious, do you understand the difference between the first and second part of the application? I've tried to read a little bit about it, but I still do not understand whether we need a cover letter or letter of intent in the first part. It seems like the second part of the app is going to be a bit redundant.

I've heard it is too, I submitted a cover letter with the first part just because I already had it written up from a class but I think you really only have to include the letter of intent

I have applied and waiting on my last references to submit their recommendation. Applied to peds icu

Hey everyone, so glad you made a thread! I applied to the peds acute for my first choice, peds critical, and adult acute. I am finishing up the second part but still waiting on my references to reply so I can submit. So excited to start the process! I am from Illinois but has been my goal after graduation! Is anyone else from out of state? Or looking at other hospitals in Nashville area?

I am also applying to centennials nurse residency peds, st Thomas nicu, and Williamson medicals peds. I am originally from Nashville so if you have an questions let me know.:)

Did any of you receive an email today? I also applied to peds. The email does not specify when the letter of intent must be submitted so I assume we wait to hear when?

Are you on the first part? If so then after you submit the fist application it will send you a link for the 2nd application. In the second application it gives a specific place to fill out the letter of intent and says that you have until the 12th of February to complete all parts.

I received the packet but not part 2, it said in the email there may be an issue with the receipt thereof so I will email them to ask! Thank you!!

I am having difficulty with the references - it says the names are not properly formatted. Did you include titles such as Dr. in the names?

I did not have these issues with the references submitting, but I didn't include their titles, I just did their first and last name. Maybe try do it without Dr. ?
