Hey everyone! Just thought I would create a page for us to chat about the upcoming application process and everything that follows! I graduate in May 2020 and am hoping to apply for the CVICU or the adult ED.

$23? That seems low.

Vanderbilt is one of the lowest paying hospitals in this area. They may make up for it in shift differentials but either way they know regardless of pay people will still work for them because they have a big name. From what I know of so far. Centennial is the highest paying right now ..

Oh, interesting. I just applied for the Nurse Residency Program at Centennial, too. We shall see what happens.

Does anyone know what they look for to make interview decisions? I mean we're all going to have our BSN, RN, so what are they looking for to stand out and decide who gets interviews, who gets waitlisted, and who gets nothing?

I got an email from them that interview invites would go out late February and would be scheduled between March 2 and April 3.

I'm thinking probably next week because the email told me late February, but sooner would definitely be nice!

Hey everyone! I applied for the NICU track. I am currently a PCI in the NICU and completed an externship in the NICU over the summer. Good luck to everyone!!!

@samkit102092 That's awesome! I applied to the NICU too. Do you like the unit? I'm assuming you do if you applied! I really don't know much about it (I'm applying from DC and never been to Vanderbilt). Everything looks great online but obviously you know much better as you've worked there!
