Vanderbilt Summer 2020 Nurse Residency

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone! Just thought I would create a page for us to chat about the upcoming application process and everything that follows! I graduate in May 2020 and am hoping to apply for the CVICU or the adult ED.

Specializes in Neonatal Nursing.

Just got an email inviting me to interview for Acute Med, Acute Surgery, Cardiac Stepdown, or Ambulatory Clinic. I was originally waitlisted. So if Vanderbilt is where you really want to be and you were waitlisted, too, check your emails!

Congrats!

good luck to everyone who starts interviewing! you’re going to do great ? let us know how it goes!

I just had my interview yesterday for the surgical track and it went so good! --------------------- welcomes you upon arrival and makes you feel very at ease and the interview was very straight forward and nothing I was not expecting. Only about 7 questions I would say and all very easy questions! The total interview lasted about 30 minutes. Also was told I would hear back already on Friday, so they are making offers soon after interviews for anyone wondering. Good luck to everyone, you will do great!

I had my interview yesterday with Adult ED. Tracy told me the same thing, expect a notification Friday evening. Offers, Wait lists, and denials all at the same time.

They do a good job of making you comfortable and about you as an individual. Good luck to everyone else!

Specializes in Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA).

Does anyone know how long it takes the TN board of nursing to issue an authorization to test after receiving your transcripts??

Hey all just wondering if anyone asked if they would be calling or emailing with offers following interviews?
