Are you coming straight from undergrad or do you have a few years in between?

I have 2 years in between. And you? I really hope everyone on this thread gets in! We clearly can't stop thinking about it ?

I am coming straight from undergrad which makes me a bit nervous! And yes, I really hope so too. Have you submitted your app? I am finalizing my essay.

Your stats and experience are really impressive! You've done a lot while being in school, so I wouldn't overthink it if I were you. I haven't submitted it yet either... I just keep tweaking everything again and again LOL. I probably won't submit it until closer to the deadline.

Same here, I make changes to the essay daily, and really want it to be over with. Good luck with the rest of your application!

Hi guys! When you first open the application I want to be sure on what program and degree we are supposed to put?!

Hi! I picked MSN, and then on the next page it asks what degree you are entering the program with, and that is where you choose non-nursing bachelor's. Then you pick your specialty below! What specialty are you applying for?

Thank you! Good luck with yours as well ? I think we will be relieved once everything is turned in.

In the experiences section of the application did you include every job you've had like a resume, or did you just include relevant experiences?

I'm going to included experiences related to healthcare and to my speciality, but I am also going to include unrelated experiences that showcase a quality (I.e. leadership, helping others, etc).

is anyone attending the virtual open house?

Hi all! First time applying to Vandy in some time and I have a concern ? my mom, stepdad, and partner all got Covid in these past few weeks. My mom and step dad are currently hospitalized and time just flew out from under me. I got my recommendations and essays done mostly. But I totally forgot I needed to send my transcripts until yesterday. I paid to have them all sent ASAP via PDF like they asked. And I sent one (of three schools) to myself to see how quick they get there and I got it yesterday actually. I’m worried they won’t be able to process them and attach them to my application in time for Oct 15. Not having everything done for priority would be so heartbreaking. I know there’s no one to blame but me. My recommenders did their jobs. Do you guys think they’ll be able to process them in time or is it unrealistic at this point?

@ChemGirl713 If your institution uses Parchment, they send an electronic transcript directly to Vanderbilt in 24hrs. Im sure that if they receive it by the 15th you should be fine! I would also email Vanderbilt nursing to make sure.. they've been responding fast lately!
