I am making a post for all programs I am applying for that I have not seen thus far. I have been going into rabbit holes of previous year's posts for schools I am applying for. Vanderbilt has been my top choice since I decided to go into direct entry nursing the end of my sophomore year of college, so it seems only fitting to make a post for it. I am applying for the PMNHP specialty and look forward to reading posts and getting to know everyone!

TO ALL THOSE WAITLISTED, STAY HOPEFUL! -- I WAS ACCEPTED OFF THE WAITLIST IN MARCH.
I LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU IN AUGUST!
TO EVERYBODY, GOOD LUCK IN ALL YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVORS!
Hi! That’s encouraging to hear. Can you give me some details on the waitlist? Such as how many people are typically on the list? And how many people are admitted off of it? I know those are specific questions, and I totally understand if you don’t have answers. ? I’m just on the list for Nurse-Midwifery and I’m trying to gauge my chances before I accept the offer to be put on the list officially.

What does it even mean to get waitlisted? ? do they like me or not? Lol
I was originally waitlisted and now I am a PMHNP PreSpecialty student. In March, they called to let me know I was accepted. Don't give up hope. Even the waitlist is an accomplishment. Congratulations.

Do you have to pay to secure your spot on the waitlist?--sorry I do not remember. BUT, I will tell you this--Midwifery is REALLY COMPETITIVE TO GET INTO. Its the smallest program and number 1 in the country; if getting on the waitlist is free--no brainer, accept the spot. If you can afford to pay for the spot, do it. Sorry I can't remember if we had to put a deposit on the waitlist --probably not though.
