  1. Nurse Corps scholarship question, if anyone can help! Are PreSpecialty students able to apply the first year? Some people have called the program hotline and they say that we have to wait until we are RNs, but there are current PreSpecialty students who are also Nurse Corps scholars. Any insight?
  2. Just wanted to offer some more hope! I got a call (missed it) and then a voicemail offering me admission to the PreSpecialty program for Nurse-Midwifery on April 1st! I thought it might be an April Fool's Day joke LOL. I really had already given up hope for this year. But here I am, excitedly (and hurriedly) trying to meet scholarship deadlines for attendance in the fall. Much love! Can't wait to meet you all.
  3. Hi! That’s encouraging to hear. Can you give me some details on the waitlist? Such as how many people are typically on the list? And how many people are admitted off of it? I know those are specific questions, and I totally understand if you don’t have answers. ? I’m just on the list for Nurse-Midwifery and I’m trying to gauge my chances before I accept the offer to be put on the list officially.
  4. Alright everybody. I got waitlisted. Does anyone know my chances of getting off the list and into the cohort by the fall? What does it even mean to get waitlisted? ? do they like me or not? Lol
  5. Maybe only certain specialties have updated the portal? I applied for NMW and there’s no change.
  6. Thank you! I’ll definitely wait until at least Monday afternoon to make a call.
  7. Does anyone know if admissions would be willing to tell me their decision if I called to tell them about my situation? Another opportunity I have needs a yes or no by midnight on the 18th, and I’m worried that Vanderbilt won’t release their admissions in time. Vanderbilt is my first choice, but I don’t want to pass up this opportunity in the case that I’m not admitted.
  8. I visited Yale for interviews, and they did a sort-of open house at the same time. And I have to say, their program is really amazing as well! Definitely worth looking into. ?
  9. Yes! I applied to Vanderbilt, Yale, Marquette, Johns Hopkins, and Belmont University's ABSN program. I got into a few of those, but after I did, I realized that I really just wanted Vanderbilt. So I chose to take a couple of years off, get some experience, and re-apply.
  10. Hi everyone! I’m applying this year for CNM/FNP dual specialty. I applied in 2017 before graduating college, but unfortunately didn’t get past the interview stage. Happy to be here and hopefully meet you!
  11. Hey friends. Somehow I have just discovered this thread, but I am thrilled to be here! I am a CNM hopeful, interviewing on the 25th. :)
