Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty MSN 2023

I'm applying to the Vanderbilt University Fall 2023 Pre-specialty MSN program and I just wanted to open up a topic since I hadn't seen one yet. I would appreciate and advice, tips, FAQ, experiences, etc.

Yeah same, I haven't heard anything either! I had to email them about my application being received.

I haven't heard anything since the receipt of my application if that makes you all feel better! I think we are all in the same boat. Good luck to us all!!

Just to add further confirmation, Vandy just got back to me! They said “Pre-specialty students will hear a decision before the holidays in December and there are no interviews for the program.” 
 

WILD! I don’t expect to get in since I’m applying for the most competitive specialty (CNM) LOL but still so cool to know how fast they’re getting decisions out!

Thank you for creating this thread. I applied to the MSN post-cert PMHNP. I didn't see one for MSN post-certs. I just submitted my application two days ago. I am also applying to other programs as well. I wish you all the best of luck.

So I’m wondering since the school said they wanted to get decisions out before the holidays if that means we could possibly know by December 9th since that’s the last day of Fall semester and beginning of Winter break? I’m so excited and so nervous ? ? Best of luck to everyone, an acceptance sure would be a great start to the holidays ?????

Same! I was hoping even tomorrow we'd maybe get a decision since it's a Friday haha but the 9th makes more sense!

Does anyone know what day of the week they usually release decisions on? I'm getting so nervous!

OMG me too!! ? I have no idea though. I look everyday several times LOL ? I’m off work this week too which kind of makes it worse since I’m not distracted with work. I really hope we find out this week. I know Friday starts Winter break for the school but I wonder if that includes the staff too? If so I would think we would hear before then but if not it could be after.

I believe it’s usually been closer towards a weekend. Like a Thursday/Friday

I emailed them and admissions told me that it should be right before the holidays.
