I am graduating in December and I have the summer off so I've begun looking at potential places that I'd like to work.
I'm thinking I'd like to do a nurse residency because I want to work in a pediatric Critical Care setting (PICU or Peds ER) and I feel like having that whole year with someone helping me and that I can ask questions without feeling like an annoying dummy.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here was looking at Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency for February 2018? I'm not from Nashville, but I'm also not too far away as I'm from North Alabama. I'd appreciate any tips about the residency or about Nashville!
Still haven't heard anything. Only the email from Mrs. Fargo saying my packet was received and interviews will be scheduled mid-August for track specific days. I applied for pediatric medical acute care. I'm hoping that I'll hear something this week.

Has anyone who applied for a pediatric track heard about interviews yet??
Nope. I'm starting to wish I had switched to Peds ER now because I got placed in a pediatric ER for my preceptorship this semester. When 8/17 passed, I totally thought not hearing anything meant I wouldn't get in.
CollegeStudent1 I contacted them on the 18th specifically about the pediatric track interview notifications and they said follow-up should occur "later next week" meaning later this week! So, I guess we'll see! Good luck!
