Hello!
I am graduating in December and I have the summer off so I've begun looking at potential places that I'd like to work.
I'm thinking I'd like to do a nurse residency because I want to work in a pediatric Critical Care setting (PICU or Peds ER) and I feel like having that whole year with someone helping me and that I can ask questions without feeling like an annoying dummy.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here was looking at Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency for February 2018? I'm not from Nashville, but I'm also not too far away as I'm from North Alabama. I'd appreciate any tips about the residency or about Nashville!
Thanks
@jaz4412 How long after completing your application did they call you?
It was actually pretty fast. I submitted my application about 2 weeks ago and got a call about 3-4 hours later from Tracey. But I also applied for the Adult Acute Surgery Track which I know they said they needed more applicants for so that could be why I was scheduled so fast. My interview is August 31st via skype. Good luck!
I submitted my complete packet on the 14th or 15th for peds med surg. I haven't heard anything yet other than the generic email stating the packet was received and interviews will be scheduled mid-August. I'm really really wanting to work at Vandy. Has anyone heard anything about peds med surg?
