Sorry to hear that, Craig. CVICU is probably a really tough nut to crack in any hospital. You can always apply to after a year of experience at your current hospital.

I still haven't heard and Im dying to find out! ?

Hey everyone! I have been kind of stalking this forum through my application process. It's been awesome seeing all of the encouragement and support through these last few months :) I initially applied for Adult Emergency (because that is my elective) but got interviewed for Adult Progressive care. I just got my acceptance letter today, too! I was just wondering if anybody else got a job offer for a unit they weren't initially pursuing or if you aren't sure about accepting it? I would LOVE to work at Vanderbilt but I'm also passionate about the ER and I have a couple of upcoming interviews for Level 1 trauma centers elsewhere :/

(I'm sorry, I know this doesn't seem like a problem.. It isn't, I'm blessed to have all of these opportunities. I just do not know what to do right now.)

mcknzkthrn--I've been working in critical care float pool at a hospital in ohio and have an interview Friday for another residency program. That being said, if I were to have been offered a position at Vanderbilt, I don't think it's one I could have passed up. It's truly an opportunity of a lifetime and working there for two years, regardless of if its where you want to be or not, can open so many doors for your professional career! Good luck to you and I wish you the best :)

I know what you mean, the problem of being blessed with opportunity! made me an offer, but I already accepted a really good job that pays better. What to do, what to do...

Just got my rejection letter from the CVICU. Congrats to all of those who got accepted.

i've been accepted to the burn ICU!!!!! congrats to all my new coworkers! for those who didn't get in, don't be discouraged! something else will come along soon i'm sure

I also got accepted to the Adult Acute Surgery Track!!

Great! Are you going? I remember you from the Swedish Hospital thread, xpressel38. I was so devastated that I didn't even get an interview there. All forgotten now!! :)
