Vanderbilt Nurse Residency 2015

The application for the Vanderbilt nurse residency for February 2015 will open in August. Who all is applying? Does anyone have advice for those of us who will be applying?

I got an interview to the adult acute care track! Was super confused by the email though, I thought I didn't get one at first.

futurenurse, I'm been rejected dozens of times in the few months since I began applying. You'll find something. It's taken me a good 50 applications to get 2 interviews so far. Hang in there!

is anyone choosing to do a skype interview?

If I had been offered I probably would've have opted for the skype interview option. Paying for a plane ticket and hotel room is not in the budget whatsoever right now.

I'm worried about getting a hotel at that time of the year. With the leaves changing, people want to travel. I'm gonna book ASAP when I get my date set.

Are you going to be traveling from New York? I am from Charlotte, NC, so I am debating over driving there vs. skyping the interview, although I know they said they have a preference for on site interview:unsure:

Just found this thread, so awesome to see nurses supporting each other!

I just got an e-mail for the peds critical care track interview!! Sounds like i'm in the same boat as a lot of you, I'm from California and trying to figure out if skype is acceptable or if I should just add a few hundred dollars to my loan and fly out ;)

Also do you guys know, is it just one interview? Not a series of interviews? from previous threads it looks like it's just the one interview
