Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello! I was wondering if anyone was thinking about applying for Vanderbilt's nurse residency program for summer 2016. For those who have applied to other terms or gone through the residency: any advice?!

4 of my friends got interviews for the PACU. I was the odd one out who applied to ED and am on the wait list. Good luck to everyone in your interviews! And to others on the waiting list: anything can happen

Late to the party but I am from Minnesota and I am doing a Skype interview for the adult ED on March 30. She said there are 20 interviews for an uncertain number of spots!

Wow! That sounds like a lot!

wow I was pretty confident about my chances of moving from the wait list, but if they're already interviewing 20 for this track......

That's really not that many, keep your chin up! My local hospitals interview 80+ for critical care.

Was just offered an interview for medical/progressive/ surgical off the wait list for Women's Health! Not what I wanted track-wise, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers! :)

That's exciting congratulations! Would definitely go for something like that!!

Good luck to anyone interviewing soon!

For those who have had interviews-- how were they?!

It wasn't bad at all. Lasted about 35 minutes or so. There were three people on the panel. Behavioral based questions. Good luck everyone!

I didn't think it was bad! I really enjoyed talking to the three panelists who worked in my desired specialty, and they made me feel very comfortable. Anxiously awaiting May 1st, and hoping the decisions will come sooner than that!
