Hello! I was wondering if anyone was thinking about applying for Vanderbilt's nurse residency program for summer 2016. For those who have applied to other terms or gone through the residency: any advice?!

Hi! I got waitlisted for the pediatric acute care as well! And I was also offered the option to interview for the pediatric PACU.

Hi! It basically gave me all the information about scheduling the interview and said "you have been selected to our wait list for interviews" She also offered me the option of interviewing for the pediatric PACU/Holding room!

I wonder what the odds of being offered an interview off the wait list are? So if someone interviews, is offered the position, and then declines, would the people on the wait list be offered an interview?

I have a former classmate who was wait listed and got an interview the next week and starts the program next week so it is possible!

Did your wait-list email specifically say PICU or does it say "all of the NRP interviews." I applied for PICU as well, but Im a little confused by the wording of the email I got.

Applied adult ED and got the same wait list email. I'd didn't specifically say ED though.

My email says the same thing as yours. I just know I applied for PICU. I think "all of the NRP interviews" just means all of the remaining interviews offered for waitlisted people will be between that stated timeframe. Not that they will consider us for all positions.

Got an email that I was placed on the waiting list for all NRP positions. Not sure what this means, but staying hopeful
