Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

Hi! I was admitted for CNM (and I am starting in pre-specialty year). Is there an FB group started for fall 2019 pre-speciality and/or CNM? Thanks so much! I would really love to talk to some other accepted students:)

At the open house they mentioned that if there is a spot open you can work with the program director for that specialty to see about getting in. I heard one example of this happening. I *think* you can only add a specialty if it is already part of their dual curriculum though, if not you might have to do a post masters.

I just got a phone call, interview invite for PMHNP program! So it is not over when it is over!

I'm curious if anyone who has been offered a prespecialty PMHNP seat has declined their seat or plans to decline it?

Hello! I had a phone interview today however, it went by so fast! It lasted right at 13mins. The questions where quite general and I wish I had been more detailed. Should hear something soon I'm told. Anyone else have this experience or similar to it? Thanks!

Can you specify what general questions, please? I am sure they asked about your background, why this specialty, why Vanderbilt, but anything else you can recall? Any questions like "why do we have to pick you over other candidates?" or "tell me about your weaknesses /strengths"

And yes, 13 minutes? way too fast!
