Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

The second year depending on your speciality is 64,000-68,000. The only way it would be three years is if you went part time during your speciality year.

I apologize if this was covered earlier in this thread but does anyone have thoughts on how all-consuming this program is? I currently work 3 days a week, am finishing up an online BSN program, have a small child, and take on most of the household responsibilities (in other words, I feel like I'm running ragged all the time!). I'm hoping I can make this program work but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really nervous. I can likely go down to 2 days/week at work so I can devote 3 days to school (plus evenings and maybe a weekend day or so) but I don't know if I'll be able to keep the stamina up for two years. If anyone has any insight I'd be most appreciative!
I'm in for direct entry WHNP. I work 2 days a week and will continue to do so. I have 2 yr old twins and stay at home 5 days a week with them while hubby works. We got this. It may be hard but I'm determined. I'll go part time if I have to. Did you join the FB page?

Was it good or bad news for you? I’m worried that some people already being accepted greatly lowers my chances

That is correct! Three semesters for your RN and then three semesters for your NP classes. Its an accelerated program. They have class curriculum plans on the website ?

Thank you so much for the info! I'm kind of agonizing about not being able to go to the Open House; it's just not possible for me. Do you know if there's any other feasible way to find out more about the program?

Hi! They told me via phone that the list is unranked and they revisit it every time they need to pull someone off of it. They also said that they overadmit people. I asked how many are on the list and they said "a whoooole bunch of people are on it." Then I asked, can you tell me how many were pulled off last year? Then they said "idk maybe 5 or 6." It's super discouraging lol but this is the tone I've been getting from admissions offices of other schools I've been waitlisted at too.. I wonder if they all purposefully do this to not lead us on or give us any hope, when in reality, being on a waitlist may not be so hopeless after all?
