Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

Hi! So I called admissions, apparently, we are flooding them with calls, whoooops.

Although the decisions have gone out around the 14th in the past, that may not be the case this time around. They made changes in the online system and are waiting for those changes to the process. The decisions aren't necessarily going out on the 14th or the 17th per some of the other posts on this thread - the message is mid to late February. We could hear this week, we could hear on the 28th...I guess we all just need to find comfort in the fact that we'll know sooner rather than later...only 16 days left in February!

Good luck, hang in there...find ways to distract yourself, the world is going to keep on turning either way!

This is why I've taken a hands off approach. Nothing I say or do will help at this point, it can only hurt (i.e. piss admissions people off). I'd love it if they hurried up and accepted or denied me already. Ugh.

That was the first time I called about the decision. I do not think they will reject someone for calling to ask a question though, so no one panic!

Good job staying chill.

Right there with you, I’m preparing myself

My application still just says “submitted” is this a bad sign? Or does it not update until a decision is made?

Mine still says submitted, but I know for a fact that my application was submitted before the deadline and was reviewed with the first group of applicants. I don’t think it will say anything different until after they receive decisions.

Okay good, I was beginning to panic! That makes me feel better.

yeah same.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about why they are still accepting applications for the fall term? I was wondering what my chances would be getting waitlisted or even accepted at this point. Good luck to you all waiting for your admissions!!!

I would say that is highly dependent on the program you are interested in applying to, but as many have stated on here - all the programs have had a huge influx of applicants this year so it’s probably not looking too good if you are applying this late in the game unfortunately.

Sounds like we are all preparing ourselves for an unfavorable decision?
