Vanderbilt MSN 2019

Published

Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

Just curious if anyone knows around what month they let you know if you have gotten an interview or accepted or not. I applied to the PNP-AC program and haven’t heard anything back from them and don’t want to bother admissions.. definitely got my hope set up when I saw the financial aid email this morning haha.

Got off the phone with admissions....for all the PMHNP people out there, they are still doing interviews. It is pretty frustrating that they are taking it up to the last minute like this. As someone who turned in my application well before the deadline....it is all the more frustrating. But even so, those still waiting to hear, keep your head up!

Maybe they are saving the best for last ?Did they mention when they would send out decisions for applicants who met the priority deadline? It seems like everything from end of January to end of February has been mentioned on this topic

It will be mid February. The last couple of years it has been on Valentine's Day ❤️

PNP-AC doesn’t interview :)

I applied to the same program and they told me mid-late February for acceptance letters if you applied by the priority deadline!

I personally would not trust anything they say. I called Jan 8, she said Im on their evaluation list and should hear from them soon. Today, January 24, I have never heard from anyone! Bottom line, I believe it when I see it!

Ah! That’s kinda relieving but also nerve wracking that there is no interviews! I applied before the priority deadline so that is nice to know sooner vs. later. This has been such a long waiting game!

Does anyone know if PNP-PC conducts interviews?

I do not believe so. I applied pre-specialty and went to the open house. I believe that we are not expected to hear anything until mid-late February.

I took microbiology with lab through University of New England. It was pretty expensive but I found it worth it because it was flexible and go at your own pace.

Thank you so much for the feedback! University of New England was one of the schools I was looking at. I was concerned about the cost but I’m glad to hear you felt it was worth it.

I am finishing my pre-reqs through Portage Learning. It is affiliated with Geneva College. Microbiology has the lab component. The courses are self-paced, so you can finish in just a few weeks. They are very affordable, and the admissions office confirmed that they accept credit from there.

Thanks for the information! I hadn’t heard of this school before. I’ll check them out.

Specializes in Rheumatology NP.

It's my understanding that only CNM and PMHNP do interviews.

In previous years it was the 2nd or 3rd week of Feb. So I am guessing 2/15 or 2/22.
