Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

I thought she said "end of" February...I could be wrong though. A million things were going through my mind at that time. As far as interviews....I think getting an interview is important.

Hmmm....Maybe it depends on the group? I don't know...Maybe she meant to say mid-Feb. I tend to believe it will be mid-Feb. because I have been going through old threads and it seems they got notifications around V-Day for the last few years....

I heard that the rn-msn program is the easiest to get into because it usually doesn’t have a lot of applicants. Also they have a different director so that’s probably why you haven’t heard anything yet.

Anyone else apply to the pediatric primary care pre-specialty program? If I remember correctly, this was one of the programs that do not get interviews.

Has anyone else's application status changed? I had all of my documents and everything turned in on 10/31 and it still just says submitted. :(

I am praying for good news next month because Vanderbilt is my top choice!!!

You are right about the date...it was V-day last year. Except for those who where placed on the waitlist. I was waitlisted in March.

No, ringelm but I’m hoping for the best. I figure since I interviewed last year and the questions are the same maybe they will just pass on sending me an invite and on v-day say yes. If I was good enough to be placed on the waitlist last year after submitting my app after the priority deadline then surely I can make it this time around. Well at least this is what I am telling myself ?

So I just got off the phone with admissions and after she looked up my application I was told “oh they will be getting a hold of you”. I’m not sure what that means exactly but I heard excitement in her voice. Also, she confirmed that I was in the first priority group. So for those who have not received an interview invite yet don’t give up!

That sounds very promising!!! Did your application status ever change from submitted on their website?
