Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!
Oh my gosh I deposited at OU ABSN too!! I heard from them first (as in weeks before others) so I went ahead and paid the depost because it was cheap(er) haha. What campus did you deposit at? I did OKC. I considered asking whether or not to ask if I could find out early but I didn't know how well that would go over so I held off for now.I'd be moving from Heath/Rockwall just outside of Dallas. My husband and I want to move out of the Dallas craziness and Nashville appeals to both of us.
Also OKC!! In my true fashion, I've decided to overthink this. Notice they're sending out admission decisions, rather than application decisions (which would mean rejection is included there, but not in "admission decisions")
help.

I've overthought everything even before sending out my applications, so don't worry! Ultimately, I know that the ABSN then MSN route will save me so much more money but I'm really hoping for Vandy so I dont have to go through the application / getting recommendation process all over again.
I think there are still a lot more admissions to be sent out! I'm trying to keep the faith but it's getting hard lol.
@hopefullynp I was placed on the waitlist for direct entry FNP. If this helps, it said I would need to accept my position on the waitlist by March 16 or the offer would be removed. That makes me think that there would be more people added to the waitlist after that date if people fail to accept.
I hope that is helpful!
I'm in for FNP! Also got into Hopkins and a local state school. I feel lucky to have gotten in, but $100K+ cost kinda scares me. I only got a 10k scholarship to Hopkins and 7k for Vandy. What are people's thoughts on the cost?
The cost is high but Vandy grants NP licensure very quickly. So if you consider income lost while still completing a different program, Vanderbilt is less expensive ( than Hopkins)
I just spoke to Vandy about the wait list. It is not ranked. Applications are essentially re-evaluated IF someone forfeits their spot, which seems less likely for MTA applicants. You can change to OMTA, but you can't be both MTA and OMTA while on the wait list. Most people will decline their spot between now and March 14, but obviously people may drop into July. She said some years, they never pull from the wait list.
Good luck my fellow wait listed friends!

Does being OMTA v MTA have an impact on admission? I think when I did my application I put I wanted to be in MTA for the specialty year, but I'll literally go anywhere!!!
