Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!

I was just emailed "Decisions will be coming out on a rolling basis."

So hang tight, y'all! Decisions are still coming.

Well, I checked last night and had a waitlist form on the portal. About an half hour later I got an email with an update and I was accepted to the pre-specialty PMHNP program!!!! What a roller coaster!

Total cost is over $100k, and if you are doing full time with pre-specialty year it takes 2 years. They do year round semesters, so there are 3 each year, I believe.

I think I'm just really freaked out because it doesn't seem like anyone has gotten a denial - so maybe admission decisions are rolling and they'll post regret decisions after all waitlist and admissions. The stress feels like it's eating me alive. I just want to know once and for all that I wasn't admitted so I can move on from it all! Thanks for emailing!

I'm right there with you! I'm holding out for Vanderbilt but I've got a deposit due today and I've waited until the 11th hour so I was hoping to hear yesteray. I really don't want to be out 600 dollars but what can you do lol. I'll be moving from Texas so I just want a decision one way or another at this point.

I was waitlisted for the midwifery cohort, but Vandy was not in my top 3 so I won't be accepting the waitlist. Hopefully this will help someone else! Good luck and congrats to everyone!!

I hear you with the deposits. I had one due for OU Accelerated BSN and went ahead and paid it. Maybe they could give you a verbal confirmation now since they're releasing decisions. Wouldn't be considered "releasing it early" as far as they're concerned since some have found out already. Where in Texas? I'd be moving from Dallas!!

After a long talk with the hubby, I've decided to go to a cheaper state school instead of vandy or hopkins. I've been in debt before and it sucks big time. Good luck to you all! Hope this helps someone on the wait list :)

Oh my gosh I deposited at OU ABSN too!! I heard from them first (as in weeks before others) so I went ahead and paid the depost because it was cheap(er) haha. What campus did you deposit at? I did OKC. I considered asking whether or not to ask if I could find out early but I didn't know how well that would go over so I held off for now.

I'd be moving from Heath/Rockwall just outside of Dallas. My husband and I want to move out of the Dallas craziness and Nashville appeals to both of us.

I see where some people were accepted for WHNP but has anyone been accepted for the WHNP/AGPCNP dual?

btowns322, Yes, I had my letter on my portal last night at 6:00 PM EST but didn't receive an email until late last night! I'm glad I had been checking and didn't rely on email. I accepted my spot and paid my deposit last night. I hope you hear good news today! I haven't heard of anyone else from WHNP/AGPCNP.

Thanks! I submitted sometime in October before the Nov. 1 deadline. I think from the open house I remember them saying that although this specialty accepts 10 students, 5 of those are reserved for students who already have their BSN. So, that leaves 5 spots for us prespecialty students I believe. I hope I didn't misunderstand that. When did you apply?
