  1. Hey SK, me again. Same end result as you about vandy. So, I haven't decided if I'm going to go to OU or not, because I was accepted to Collin College's ADN program. It's appealing because I don't have to move from Dallas, and I can reapply to vanderbilt (if I ever get over being sour about it) with an ADN but we'll see
  2. @nctoca, BSN, RN Thanks! I'm pre specialty FNP, so I'm not sure if they have a set number of spots for direct entry and pre specialty or not, but hopefully what they told you about the wait list is good news for me. I'm still losing my mind because I haven't heard anything at all - no status update on my application so I don't know if I'm flat out rejected, waitlisted, or (highly unlikely) accepted.
  3. Does being OMTA v MTA have an impact on admission? I think when I did my application I put I wanted to be in MTA for the specialty year, but I'll literally go anywhere!!!
  4. Also OKC!! In my true fashion, I've decided to overthink this. Notice they're sending out admission decisions, rather than application decisions (which would mean rejection is included there, but not in "admission decisions") help.
  5. @leena89 Were you prespecialty FNP? I haven't heard anything about my app status yet but fingers crossed I have a chance to get your spot!! Just curious, when did you submit your application?
  6. @SK 13 I hear you with the deposits. I had one due for OU accelerated bsn and went ahead and paid it. Maybe they could give you a verbal confirmation now since they're releasing decisions. Wouldn't be considered "releasing it early" as far as they're concerned since some have found out already. Where in Texas? I'd be moving from Dallas!!
  7. thank you! I think I'm just really freaked out because it doesn't seem like anyone has gotten a denial - so maybe admission decisions are rolling and they'll post regret decisions after all waitlist and admissions. The stress feels like it's eating me alive. I just want to know once and for all that I wasn't admitted so I can move on from it all! Thanks for emailing!
  8. For those who still haven't heard anything-anyone want to call and find out what's happening? I'd call but stuck in class until 4 today!
  9. Has anyone actually gotten the email yet or just happened to check your application status. And has anyone actually been denied yet?? Starting to fear the worst
  10. I feel like they're only sending out waitlist and admitted decisions....
  11. Nothing yet in my application for me either, pre-specialty FNP. For those of you that were waitlisted, hey at least you still have a chance!!!! Thats definitely better than denial right? I read on previous years that a fair amount of people get in off the waitlist. Hang in there. At this point, I'd kill to be waitlisted
  12. @Chappie -ahhh ok thank you. Well even if you had it right I still wouldn't have known what it meant! I vaguely remember a question on the application about where I would prefer to do MSN clinical work - either middle TN or outside the area - does whichever we chose have any effect on admission?? It crossed my mind a few months ago but didn't think much of it at the time. I called just now to ask but no one answered. I just need someone to know I'll go anywhere I had to for a spot in this program!
  13. I feel really, really dumb for asking this but what does OTMA mean?
  14. I'm pre-specialty FNP too! Getting really excited but also panicked because I know my chances of admission for so few spots aren't great. Because I'm nosy/stressed/curious, what were your GRE scores like and previous experience/grades? My GRE scores were pretty average as were my undergraduate grades, but have done really well in all prereq classes and have a few years of experience as a veterinary nurse and surgery tech so maybe someone in admissions noticed. I've also been lurking for a while and just want to wish everyone good luck!!!! This has definitely been a new experience and it will all work out how it's supposed to. I'm also ready to not feel like a complete nutcase every time my phone buzzes for an email!!
  15. Just got an admission decision email. No go for me, good luck to all of you!!
