Vanderbilt MSN 2016

Published

I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.

I heard that everyone would hear back at the same time, and I've heard that they would be letting some know this week. Nothing consistent to go by. Hopefully this will be a great week for all of us!

My anxiety level is so high right now. I wish we would just get our notifications already!

From what I understand, they are responding to the "early action date" applicants. So if you were in the pool that applied by Nov 1, and you received confirmation that you were in that pool, then you will be getting the decision about your admission in this first round.

There could certainly be some exceptions to the rule, but they guaranteed decisions made about admission to those who applied by the Nov 1st early application date no later than Feb 15th.

its amazing that waiting since November I thought would be the most excruciating, but as it turns out this last 2 week stretch is by far way worse than that!

Jena.1001, are you midwifery? I'd love if they were gonna email acceptances first! :)

Cherishfanakos, no, I'm psych. Pmhnp. The admissions lady was pretty definite that I would get an email within the next few days!

Awesome! Good luck to you!

Had everyone called admissions? I'm obviously anxious to find out but haven't called, def considering it

I'm thinking about calling also but I know they must get sick of all the calls!

Im sure but this last stretch is just awful. I wish that we could just KNOW as soon as the decisions were made. Patience is so not one of my virtues lol.

I'm sure they're used to it! I say give them a call and try to wheedle it out of them whether the email will come in "a couple of days" or "a few days".... then we can all obsess over the nuances of their response like the anxious dorks that we are!!

I was thinking the same thing but at least it shows how badly we want to be in the program! í ½í¸œ
