Vanderbilt MSN 2016

Published

I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.

I get out of class in about an hour so I'm gonna call then!

Here's what they told me - Once a decision has been made on our application we will receive an email letting us know that there has been an update to our application. At that point we can log in and read the decision letter. They also told me "most" early action applications will receive a decision this week!!

Thank you for this information, SunnyGirl321!

@jena.1001 I'm PMHNP also so I should be in the next few days too. I cant breath lol. I keep checking my spam because their emails have been going there.

so I think I just got so excited I forgot how to think....soooo we should be getting an email that our status has been updated...then we go to the application page we submitted the original application to see our letter?

Yes, they said most early action will this week.

well this is super exciting, I hope its the same for all the specialties. Although, I fear now I will be refreshing my email every 2.5 secs

For the pmhnp candidates, are you currently working in the field, and are you planning to do clinicals in Nashville or near your hometown?

jena my home town in South Carolina. Im in a BSN program. I have my LMSW. I work in geriatrics as an LPN. I also facilitate a weekly substance abuse group at a homeless shelter.

Ugh. Now I'm even more nervous.... í ½í¸° It sucks not having anything to even gage.

Im checking my email every 5 minutes. I was hoping to find out today! so nervous.

O me too my anxiety levels are at an all time high. I seriously wish there was some way to just know already.
