Vanderbilt MSN 2016

I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.

Does anyone know details about financial aid? I'll be attending the Open House in March if I'm admitted, but that updated 'admitted students' page has tuition estimates listed.. holy moly! Scholarships would be a blessing.

Okay gang, I have an update: I called Admissions to see if there was any update on the status of my application...Same antsy question as always and I figured I'd just get the blanket February 15th answer again.

Well, as it turns out I was passed through to the Assistant Director in the Admissions Office and she said that they were planning on releasing some Admissions Letters in "a couple of days". Eeeeee!! Looks like we will hopefully be hearing back this week.

well this is exciting and semi terrifying at the same time. I have to say that the new admitted students page is rather fantastic, and makes me even more excited to be a part of it!

That is very exciting about hearing back this week maybe! Did they say that we would be receiving letters via snail mail or do they mean just " letters" to our emails ?

Hello all! I am so glad I found this board, I have been (VERY) anxiously waiting to hear back from Vandy. Just wondering, has anyone else applied to the NNP specialty? Also, I am wondering if we will hear first by phone call, email, or mail. I have been like a little kid waiting for a toy package or something haha. Good luck everyone!

This is exciting news! Notifications will probably be by mail, but I'm hoping for email or phone also. Looking forward to hearing soon, but I'm definitely nervous. Hopefully its PMHNP here I come!

So I just called admissions and she said that I should be getting an email SOON, if not this week, then early next week.

This is a great thread. I applied for the PMHNP pre-specialty track in December...I didn't complete the GRE until mid-November. I just got notification that I will interview tomorrow and I am very nervous. Can someone provide any helpful hints? Thank you!

Do you know if it's still all applicants for all specialties hearing back at the same time? I just saw someone post below you that they have an interview tomorrow which makes the think there's no way we can hear anything today or tomorrow..
