I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.
Its such a relief to have the interview over with! I think it went well. It was very laid back and the questions were not difficult. My interviewer said that we should be receiving letters in mid-February with information about whether we are accepted, denied, or waitlisted.
holahawaii,
I'm the CNM track, but I got an email invite for an interview and we scheduled a time over email. So if you didn't get an email yet then you most likely didn't miss your interview :)
holahawaii- I have also applied for PMHNP pre-speciality. I received an email to coordinate the interview time and because it went to my spam folder, I received a call (which I missed) and a voicemail. I'm sure you didn't miss your interview. It sounds like some people are still receiving interview invites so stay hopeful!!
So from what I understand, everyone who applies to the specialties that conduct interviews gets an interview? Is that correct? It seems that everyone interviews, so that getting an interview is not any indication as to whether or not one has a greater likelihood of being accepted, as is common with other schools. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks!

Glad to hear your interview went well, MidwifeMinded! Sounds like you did a great job. Hope you hear back very soon and we can all be embarking on this journey together in the fall!
