Hello,
I am applying for the MSN program in '15, due in December. I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight the GRE holds, in regards to being competitive? I am a little nervous about my scores not being competitive. Any advice will help!
Best regards,
Did you guys get a paper acceptance letter or an email first or what? I'm at home for Christmas and the thought of an acceptance letter being at my mailbox is killing me! I've gathered that the application management page doesn't update very regularly. Also, I'm a male applying to FNP so that's another guy for the two who posted earlier.

Alexevans21,
I got an e-mail first, but a lot of people got a paper acceptance letter in the mail first. Since it's the holiday season, some people will get their mail a little late. You could try calling the admissions office and see if they can look up your status for you. They're usually happy to do so. Best of luck!!! I know the waiting game is a pain in the rear.
Just FYI. I spoke with admissions. They told me a meeting will be held January 14th and decisions should be made soon after that. This may not apply to everybody.
I really like Vanderbilt's program but what is even going on with them - their approach seems incredibly scatterbrained. Some people found out two weeks ago, but then they're saying they won't make decisions until two weeks from now? And each specialty is having this issue, not just the big ones. Why wouldn't they just review all the priority applications and release all the decisions at once? That at least maintains the illusion that they considered everyone's applications equally - but props to those of you that got admitted, your applications must have been awesome!
Now I know why every other school is waiting until February at the earliest to release decisions.

I just called Admissions as well and asked if my application is considered regular or priority since it was submitted on Nov. 1st. I was told it met the priority deadline and that my application was awaiting faculty review. She said I should hear back right after New Years. I applied for FNP pre-specialty. Fingers crossed for all of us!
Edit: My status says "Submitted" on the application management page.
