Vanderbilt Fall 2020 Nurse Residency

Hello everyone! I haven't seen a thread for the fall program so I thought I'd start one. I applied to the Women's Health track and I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear back! Looking forward to connecting with you all ?

Since there are multiple specialities/units within a track how do you get to choose the one you want? Are you interviewing for all of them?

During part 2 of the application process, I was able to select which unit(s) I wanted under the different track(s). Then I believe you interview with a specific unit (I am) instead of the overall track. Hope that helps!

Hello everyone,

Has anyone else heard back from the Burn Unit? I applied to the adult critical care track and I have an interview scheduled with the Burn Unit on Monday.

I got an email last week saying I was waitlisted for a position in their nurse residency program. Does anyone know if the waitlist is track specific or for the general residency program?

I had my interview yesterday and I did so bad. I think I might have misinterpreted the questions she was asking and at the end she gave me the kiss of death “well good luck to you!” ??

What unit did you interview for? My NICU interview was yesterday as well and I’m on pins and needles waiting for an answer!

Adult ambulatory. I thought of all questions and responses beforehand and she only asked one of the questions I prepared for, so it was hard trying to think of scenarios using the “STAR” method
