Vanderbilt Fall 2020 Nurse Residency

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello everyone! I haven't seen a thread for the fall program so I thought I'd start one. I applied to the Women's Health track and I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear back! Looking forward to connecting with you all ?

That's awesome, congratulations! I'm sure it's a unit-by-unit process, so it's great to hear at least the NICU is going through their applicants and choosing who they want to move forward with!

Interesting! Did they give you a lot of days to pick from? CONGRATS by the way! ?

They gave me three days in a row to choose from!

Hi everyone! I got a text/email for an interview this morning (Pediatrics--ED). The email was very clear with directions. Have a great day!

Cool! do you mind saying which Peds unit?

Edit: nevermind I just saw your last post! Good luck with the interview!

Oh yes, ED. Thank you, and same to you as well ?

Gah c'mon mother baby!! I got a text from an unknown number this morning and panicked but it was just a spam ad ?

Just got an email saying I wouldn't be moving forward in the women's health track, but that other adult care opportunities are available. I declined since it isn't my area of interest, but for those still waiting who are interested in those units it definitely seems like they're hiring a lot of people. Good luck everyone!

Hi!! I'm interviewing for Adult Acute Care this Wednesday- I'm nervous but excited! If offered a position, is anyone planning to move to Nashville from elsewhere? I'm hoping to relocate from DC. Best of luck to everyone!

Hey all - I was so torn between peds and adults when ranking choices but I interviewed for the Adult ED today! Good luck everybody ?

Specializes in Nursing.

How did the interview go?! Good luck ?

I’m interviewing for Pediatric ED and would be coming from Orlando, FL. Hope your interview went well!! Mine is July 1st.

Good! Felt I probably rambled at times but alright. I would be relocating from Rhode Island, but I went to Vanderbilt for undergrad before my accelerated BSN program.
