Vanderbilt Fall 2020 Nurse Residency

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello everyone! I haven't seen a thread for the fall program so I thought I'd start one. I applied to the Women's Health track and I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear back! Looking forward to connecting with you all ?

Hi! I was waitlisted and I was offered a position for the unit I applied for this week! There’s hope!! Good luck!

That's great! Congratulations!!

Hey, is anyone coming from out of state or moving into an apartment near ? I need some apartment recommendations! I don’t think I’ll be able to go look in person so I was wondering if anyone has any insight!

Ty in advance!

Hey guys! I got waitlisted a few weeks ago I interviewed for the SICU and just got offered the job! I’m so excited. For those who have questions about contracts/commitments, my friend who works at Childrens told me that she’s been there for 5 months and they’ve never made her sign a contract. They encourage nurses to stay for 2 years but there is nothing legally binding you.

Has anyone else heard back from the waitlist after the initial few?

I was waitlisted and heard back today, and was offered a position in their acute surgery track and accepted! Now I will be looking for a roommate / place to live!!

Congratulations! I was offered a position in the acute adult track. The only thing is that I don't get to choose my unit. One will be assigned later if I sign the contract. I'm making my decision tomorrow. Has anyone else received an offer for a track, but not a unit?
