Hello!
I was just curious - has anyone else applied to for the VA HPSP scholarship this year? Specifically, the PMHNP track!

Thank you so much @Kikomimi for this information. I was recently placed as an alternate too. When sending an email did you inquire about an update or expressed that you were still interested?
Showing results for 'Re the HPSP scholarship, I saw a few posts last year discussing the residency programs for PMHNPs. I have been accepted and will be obligated to fulfill a 2 year plus 6-month contract, I am never leaving the VA, am heavily invested, just wondering where these residency programs are? I know that I will likely be relocated from Illinois, but maybe not! Thanks!'.
@2011MSN I am a bit late to the discussion, but was hoping you can answer my question.
My wife is in HPSP program for NP- Psych. She finishes in May next year, but we got conflicting info on if she can choose site or VA sends her where they want her. Is there a choice or is it VA needs? I know you said you got to choose up to 6 places, do you get preference over non scholarship people?

Hi. I am a PMHNP student and VA HPSP recipient. My graduation is May 2024. Just curious if you would mind sharing your wife's experience, now that it has passed. Thank you.
