UW Seattle BSN Fall 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone!

I created this thread for everyone to see how many people are applying and how is everyone doing. A little bit about me is that I am currently at a community college, therefore applying as a transfer. I am honestly nervous about my essay because the prompts were difficult. That is all I have to say and good luck to everyone who is applying!

Hi everyone,  I just got an acceptance email from UW. I checked the portal but looks like it hasn't been updated yet. Good luck all!

@TheOrenNurse There will be a school that would love to have you! I've gotten a couple rejections at this point and I feel like it's just trial and error.

I got rejected as well (along with to SPU). However, I got into SU. For those who have been accepted, CONGRADULATIONS and I hope to see you at clinicals and maybe one day as a RN! For those that didn't get accepted, please don't give up! I have heard that SPU takes BSN students for the Spring. I recommend to check out their application cycle for Spring 22 and continue your academic pursuits in nursing! Everyone, eat some ice cream!!

for those who got a rejection a mental health reminder: 700 people applied and there are only 80 spots. It is NEVER a reflection of YOU and who you are!! They are judging a piece of paper ❤️

I also have been rejected by UW and WSU, fingers crossed for PLU. Congrats everyone, it was insanely competitive so great job!

Rejectedddd. ? at least I tried though, proud of myself for that!! I almost didn’t even try but I’m thankful I did.

congrats to those of you who were accepted!! That’s a huge accomplishment and you all deserve it

Hi everyone!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I got rejected as well. However, I got on the waitlist for St. Mairtin’s.

Hi ya'll, just received a rejection letter from UW School of Nursing in my email inbox. Looks like all letters are going out tonight. I'm glad it happened while I wasn't at work, wishing you all the best of luck!

@TheOrenNurse you are amazing! Don't give up! I have been rejected from many different programs. Keep trying and keep your head up girl!

Hey all, congrats to everyone who was accepted. I was waitlisted with a not very great ranking--pretty bummed. Anyone know how many people typically make it off the waitlist -- and when folks typically find out?

I read last years thread earlier today and I think someone mentioned about 10! If I were you, I’d check last years thread and reach out to admission!

I was also waitlisted—#12 on the list. I’m not so sure if this is a great spot to be on the list but I’m hopeful! Does anyone know how long the list actually is? The website mentioned that they wouldn’t put you on the waitlist unless they really believed you had a chance to score a spot in the cohort.

This year was SO competitive and I’m proud of everyone for putting their best foot forward, regardless of the outcome!

Valerie -- congratulations! You are 5 spots higher than I am. I think you have a good change if the average number of spots they offer is about 10. Did you receive any other waitlist offers or acceptances? I am on the list for UW and SU. Looks like more of the waiting game for us.

I was just notified via email that I did not get in. I'm sad, but not surprised.
