Hello everyone!

I created this thread for everyone to see how many people are applying and how is everyone doing. A little bit about me is that I am currently at a community college, therefore applying as a transfer. I am honestly nervous about my essay because the prompts were difficult. That is all I have to say and good luck to everyone who is applying!

Still haven’t gotten an email... god I am having a panic attack

I was offered admission to PLU!! I definitely want to check last year’s thread for UW and see if it’s likely that I move up the waitlist. Waiting game indeed. I’m excited either way and relieved this application cycle is over with.

@Valerie Tran Hi Valerie! May I know what semester you got into PLU? I also got admitted into Fall 2021!

I got in for Spring 2021. Congratulations Gaby! Anyone else get into PLU?

He kept having mini strokes after that and they always affected his personality.  He had to keep relearning everything all over again and it was just a really hard time in my life. I reached out to the Saint Martins advisor and she said that because of my last grades (not even in the pre-reqs that I needed), I wouldn’t ever be admitted because nursing is so competitive. 
 

it was super discouraging to hear that after working so hard. However, I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere. I was in an occupational therapy program before this and my cohort actually taught the LPN students some things. I think that’s what helped me get into SU. Just don’t give up. 

@Justyb90, I’m really glad to hear that!! It gives me hope. Honestly I just think Saint Martins is hard to get into if you’re not perfect. They said I was competing against applicants who had 4.0 cumulative GPA’s and they only had 16 spots this year.  

@ohaimegan thank you so much for sharing that with me! It sucks that we get judged on our past grades, especially when it’s clear we are older and have shown through our nursing pre-reqs that we have found the right career path for ourselves and earned better grades. 
I don’t have any health care experience other than I’m a licensed esthetician and spinned that to sort of be my experience. So perhaps adding experience next time will help. Good luck at SU and congrats getting into a program! It’s such an accomplishment getting into any of the programs honestly! I’m applying to a few ADN programs and hope I can get in that way.

I still haven’t gotten an email and I’m so nervous! I didn’t realize they weren’t going to send all of them out at the same time. Is anyone still waiting?

@NursingSarah Thank you so much!! And I agree, it definitely is a bummer that our past follows us everywhere. Honestly, good for you for applying to ADN programs. You’ll come out on top with less debt. That was my backup plan if these all failed. Good luck Sarah!! Maybe I’ll run into you someday ? 

Also how did you guys hear about PLU?! Did they just email you or did they email your PLU account? I had no idea the decisions would be so early.

I’m still waiting too! I wonder how they organized when to send the emails out. There were people who learned at 5pm and there’s still people who haven’t heard back anything!

Oh my gosh, I’m glad that someone is in the same boat as me. But I just wish they just sent them all out at the same time! The anticipation is killing me. Honestly I’m gonna be so disappointed if they make us wait until tomorrow! How am I supposed to sleep LOL
