UW BSN 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello All!

I am applying the the University of Washington BSN program, starting in Fall 2017. I was curious how everyone's' applications process is going? Have you submitted your applications yet, what are your healthcare, and volunteer experiences? Do you feel prepared for nursing school? Why are you interested in the UW? Do you have any questions about your application?

I am just starting my application for the UW nursing program, starting in fall of 2017. I am an Emergency Dept. Tech. I really enjoy it, but I definitely want to learn how to be a better and more reactive caregiver, and I think nursing provides an excellent pathway to learn and develop great care giving skills.

Good Luck!

Has anyone got an email yet? It is after noon. I would expect them to be here soon. Hmmm.... ?

I am so excited even though I know there is very little chance for me to be accepted. I would be excited if I got accepted because it is a big achievement to me. Also, I would be excited if I got rejected because I have another plan for RN program. It's like I am about to die, but I am saved right after that. Anyway, I should turn this excitement feeling into the encouragement energy to successfully complete any Nursing program that I will be accepted. Best luck!!!

@tle00041 I admire your enthusiasm! I want to get accepted so I can drop some prerequisite classes for other RN programs. It is so smart to have a second plan... I just don't want to have to use it.

I know for the ABSN, emails were sent out around 4 so maybe this time it is a similar case! Fingers crossed today is the day

Just got the email of acceptance!

I got the email and I am very excited to be a part of the UW BSN this coming year!

After much anticipation, the 2017 BSN Admissions Decisions have gone out! If you don't receive an email by the end of today, let me know and I'll make sure you receive your notification. You can email me at [email protected].

Got the email. Sadly I didn't make the cut. Not even the waitlist. Disappointment is an understatement. Congrats to all who made it in!!

Waitlisted... happy and sad at the same time. This is a very competitive year; trying to be hopeful. Congrats to the people that got accepted

Congrats to those who were accepted! I did not make the cut, so I have to make some changes to be more competitive next year. (I do not think the ABSN is a good fit for me, so I am aiming for next year's BSN, *hoping* that post-bacs can still apply to the regular BSN program next year!!!)

After two years, I made it in! Don't give up if this time wasn't yours. I spent the extra time getting more experience and have gained a lot of knowledge that will help me transition into the BSN program.

Hey mrHang and any other accepted individuals, congrats! I am looking to apply to the program next year for the first time and I figured while it was still fresh in your minds I would ask for some advice! If any of you would care to share your email I would love to PM you with some questions or be willing to gain any tips from you about the whole application process. Thanks!!
