UW ABSN Summer 2017

Hi all!

I am applying in fall for the 2017-2018 cohort and I know I am making this post pretty early but I am super anxious about this whole process! I would love and be so thankful for any advice, statistics, and info about personal experience/academic background from previous applicants/alumnis. I would also love to meet the people who are applying right alongside me! It is always great to have support. :)

Ok so I just called and they said we should here back either way today and they are still working on both phone calls and emails. Hope this helps. I mentioned that we were all waiting to here but she assured me it will be today.

I just got an email from UW. I'm on the waitlist too! How many are in waitlist??

I am #45 on the waitlist. So pretty far down. :( I don't know how many spots there are though. What are y'all's spots?

This is what the website said about the waitlist:

Waitlist lengths are limited to a number that is realistic in terms of how many spaces we think may open up any given year. In other words, we do not want to ‘tow anyone along.' If you were offered a waitlist slot, the faculty believe there is a possibility that space may open up and you could be offered a spot in the program

Thats better than me! I'm 54 on the waitlist.... I figure they deny 1/2. Waitlist 1/4 and accept a 1/4.

Hm... that seems logical. I wonder if that's true! Does anyone know how many people applied this year? I thought it was something like 400+ but I could be wrong. Insights?

Also- still interested to know if anyone has a # on how many spots are on the waitlist....

I'm 12 on the waitlist.. I should start writing an admission essay to UW soon. I wish we can all get in!

For those who got accepted or waitlisted, would you mind sharing your volunteer experiences, gpa,background, etc? I'm interested in seeing what it takes to get in!

Waitlisted #32 :( doesn't seem promising! I heard last year they went through 25 but who knows.
