UW ABSN Summer 2017

Hi all!

I am applying in fall for the 2017-2018 cohort and I know I am making this post pretty early but I am super anxious about this whole process! I would love and be so thankful for any advice, statistics, and info about personal experience/academic background from previous applicants/alumnis. I would also love to meet the people who are applying right alongside me! It is always great to have support. :)

I am from Portland and I also applied for 2017-2018 ABSN program. I am getting so nervous as the date gets closer !!

I am assuming it will be either 13th or 14th? Best of luck to you all!

It was around the 13th last year but during the proctored essay they said end of December. Maybe that was just a conservative estimate.

I asked Adrien Acosta after the proctored essay and he said given the number of applicants it would probably be closer to Christmas. He also said there wouldn't be phone calls this year, rather everyone will find out via email around the same time. Good luck to everybody.

Does anyone know when we have to accept the offer to the ABSN program if we are to get in? I am curious, because I am applying to both the BSN and ABSN programs. Can we wait to accept the ABSN offer until after we know if accepted to the normal BSN program? I have been slightly anxious about this. As always the group therapy and advice is helpful! Keep it up!

No, I think the date is before you find out from the BSN. I've heard of people paying the money to save their spot if they get accepted to the ABSN and then forfeiting their spot (and the money) if they end up getting accepted into the BSN as well.

I called the program last week and the woman on the other line said we would hear "before the end of December." It's killing me! Anyone have any news yet?

I talked to Adrian Acosta a couple weeks ago and I have an email from him saying we would find out the week of the 19th. Eeeekk!

Does "decisions being made" mean we're getting the email/call tomorrow or does that mean decisions are being made tomorrow and that we'll get the email/call next week?
