UTMB Summer 2018

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

I check this page at LEAST 20 times a day just to see if there is any new information!! Anybody have even a slight idea when acceptances will begin going out?

From what I've read, they will do interviews first. Their interview invites also seem to come out in waves. So, just because you don't get an invite on the first round, doesn't mean you won't 2 or 3 rounds later. Here's to (not so patiently) waiting!

Hi Guys!

If we get accepted for Summer 2018 when will the first day of classes be? Will they start in the month of May?

So yesterday I had nothing better to do than read all of Spring 2018's thread for UTMB and over analyze everything. I thought I would share what I read on that thread in case there's anyone out there wondering. Applications were due May 31st and the first interviews were July17th-ish. That's about 6 1/2 weeks after applications were due. Which means, since our apps were due August 15th, 6 1/2 weeks later would be end of this week/start of next. (Yay!) Now, we probably should give some wiggle room for the lovely Harvey.

Also, keep in mind, it looks like they are still completing wait-list interviews currently. I saw a couple people had them scheduled just last week. Now that is 16 full weeks later from their deadline. That puts us at December 8th for comparison.

I know there are generally less applicants to the summer sessions, so hopefully it won't be as intense. I don't know if all this eased my worries at all, but hopefully someone out there gets some peace of mind that we're on the right track. Good luck to all :)

Little update- looks like they're still scheduling waitlist interviews for Spring 18 this week. So maybe a little longer of a wait. From what I could tell from threads in the past, it doesn't look like the interview process overlapped.

Again, these are all guesses, but just thought I would share.

I had my interview to be waitlisted for Spring 2018 last week on Thursday. Anybody know what's going to happen from here on out? I know it's a waiting game at this point, but what are my chances for the spring and summer? Thanks!

Does every single person that they accept go through the interview process or are some accepted without an interview? Thanks in advance :)
