I'm wondering who applied for the UTMB Summer 2009 semester, and if they have received any news from UTMB. My status says "pending", and all my information was received. I don't know how big the applicant pool is considering the hurricane. I haven't seen any news on here about UTMB recently, so anything is appreciated. Thanks.
My status hasn't changed on the website yet. They said that if we want to accept the offer we can do so over econnect, but I am not sure how since my status still hasn't changed. I have sent out the forms they wanted faxed, and I drove to the post office to send out all the other forms. I seriously don't understand how they expect us to get all the forms there by april 3, when we just got them today! Oh well, at least I can say I tried. If my status on econnect doesn't update by april 3rd, then I am going to call them to make sure they got all my information (or to explain how it should be there soon). I'm sure it will take even longer for the school to process all my information.
The CPR deadline is May 15, so I can show them that at orientation.
I have a question for those of you that received an acceptance email/letter/phone call. What all does UTMB require to have filled out and completed before deadline? The school I got accepted to requires a lot of things, like a full physical, immunization records, TB skin test, drug test and other forms that need to be filled out. I have completed most of it, but was just wondering if it was the same thing for UTMB.
For UTMB you don't need a physical. You need to get your doctor to sign the immunization record form (that has all the shots on it, but I think they give you until May 15 for that as well as CPR certification). I sent it anyway to be safe.
You have to fill out a form called BSN applicant response sheet Conditions for acceptance, which basically says you accept the offer or deny the offer. That form includes a plan for when you complete all the prerequisite courses (which are required to be completed before May 15). It also wants you to state when you were CPR certified (or plan to get certified), and if you had the background check.
There is a form for security policies, a form about acknowledgement of Bacterial meningitis, a form where you specify whether you need assistance due to a disability, a verification form that states you have health insurance, an activity release form, a form regarding religious preference, and I think that is it. If anyone had any additional forms let me know. We have to send them to about 3 different areas of UTMB, and I faxed my immunization record and one other form. I did not see anything about a drug test. It also says to keep checking the website for information regarding orientation.

i called up the school and Ms. ***** said that she is still sending out emails... so dont worry if u didnt get an email yet.. I still have hope... Congratulations for those who got in!!!! YAY.... =)
