UTMB Summer 2015 - anyone?

Hello,

I've applied to UTMB starting in May of 2015.

I had not seen any posts regarding this so I though I would get it going.

All my stuff is with the school and my "mystar" is up and going.

97th Percentile TEAS

4.0 Science

3.10 B.B.A. of finance

Anyone have any idea of when we might hear something?

Hi everyone! I am also applying to Summer 2015. I was denied for UTMB Spring 2015.

@lexief32 Did she say decisions regarding all applicants for Summer or just regarding those interviewed like yourself?

She made it sound like they were trying to make all decisions for the summer by that date. Since there will only be 80 applicants that they accept this semester for the summer, she said they are trying to have the decisions made sooner. Did you interview for the Spring?

@ lexief32 Oh okay thanks. No I was not invited for an interview the first time around nor this time. I am starting to get discouraged. I do not have the best stats, but I have seen others with similiar stats at least get an interview. Well good luck to you and everyone applying. Hopefully I get an interview to at least prove myself.

My stats are

Science gpa 3.25

Overall 3.5 (estimate)

Teas 74

Don't feel discouraged, it's still early. It's only been 2 weeks since applications were due so this is probably just the first round of interviews. And your stats definitely meet their requirements! I've heard every applicant pool is different. Your stats are almost the same as mine for grades. And a 74 TEAS score is still good. I hope you hear about an interview soon! :)

Shern14 If it makes you feel better my TEAS is 70, but I have a strong GPA and a Bachelors degree. I'm hopeful and I think you should be as well! Reading past application threads, the personal statement has a lot of weight and goes a long way with UTMB. I think you reapplying shows you really want this and that you are dedicated to making this happen for yourself.

@Ledief32 Thank you and I'm trying to stay hopeful! I just hope I at least get a shot for an interview this time to really prove myself to them.

@awe009 I am hopeful that this time I will have a shot. I poured my heart into my first personal statement and I still did not receive an interview. I reevaluated it this time around and tried to address any concerns I felt they might have had. You would be surprised how much a previous bachelor’s degree gives you an upper hand :) I am sure you will hear something soon! Thank you for the uplifting words :)

Well that's convenient, 5 hrs drive for me but i'll be here till Monday. Will give me time to check out the city.
