Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

I've applied to UTMB starting in May of 2015.

I had not seen any posts regarding this so I though I would get it going.

All my stuff is with the school and my "mystar" is up and going.

97th Percentile TEAS

4.0 Science

3.10 B.B.A. of finance

Anyone have any idea of when we might hear something?

Do you happen to know anything about UTMB Ferry Road apartment? I found out the rent rates at ferry road is relatively cheaper than any other apartments on the island. If you have any info and don't mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it!

I don't personally, but I've heard they're very nice.

Kbras10 any news?

Hiyou : No I haven't heard back other than they wanted me to send in my BON blue card. What about you? Have you called to see if they are going to accept anymore waitlisted applicants?

Kbras10 no I havent when I asked she told me that I will be contacted via email when I'm removed from the waitlist for acceptance. hoping for the best! we'll get through this!

How strict are the nursing teachers about the shoes dress code? Do the shoes have to be either black or white?

Hey. I was told by a friend that they tell you black and white to be safe but you'll only wear it when you go to clinicals and since it's offsite, the people there are not particular about what colors you wear.

Specializes in CICU/CVICU.

Hey guys, I am a first semester student at UTMB and I just happened to end up on this page! Congratulations to all of you that have been accepted, I think that UTMB is a great school, and I have enjoyed my time here so far.

As far as dress code goes

- For clinical, they want you to have either black or white shoes, that are LEATHER and NON POURUS. For lab they really don't care what kind of shoes you have on

- Be sure to bring nice/professional clothes! They really push for everyone to dress professionally because there are potential employers walking around campus all the time! You want to look nice, especially for the first day because they take your ID photos and your graduation photos!

If you guys have any more questions, I can try to help you out the best I can!

Good luck to all of you!!

Hi everyone,

I am actually going to be applying for Fall 2016.

Overall GPA: 3.4

Science GPA: 3.3

Prereq GPA: 3.3

(I completed only 41 out of the 60 hours of prereqs required)

I will be taking my TEAS exam on the 26th of this month.

Do you think I will have a chance of getting in if I make around a 75-85 on the TEAS?

I had similar stats and an 80 on Teas. I also had four classes left to take when I got my acceptance for this fall. Be passionate and include all experience in your letter. You have just as good a chance as any í ½í¸Š
