Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.

Congratulations on getting an invite. UTMB is a very good school, but TWU is also a fabulous school, and if it's close to you, it would be a great place to get a degree. If you've already accepted and were happy with TWU, then I would just stick with them. But, I understand that UTMB was your first choice. Out of curiosity, if you were offered a spot at UTMB, why might you turn it down? The commute?

I would take TWU honestly....it's a guarantee...no worries about interviews, awkwardness, anticipation....but I'm also being selfish b/c I know it opens up an opportunity for someone else too.

It's hard to do (turn it down) but I was in the same situation in 2004. I got accepted in the ADN program at Blinn (300 applicants and they let 20 in). I was getting married and moved to Houston and turned it down!!!!! GOSHHHHHH wish I hadn't NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW but at the time the director told me that I was making somebody's day!

Go with your gut, follow your heart! Best of luck either way, it's a tough decision!!!!

and you SHOULD BE! I always say GETTING the interview is the hardest part (job, school, or ANYTHING).

toasterbell - yes the only reason i would turn down UTMB if given the offer would be the commute..its like an hour and 15 mins for me versus 30-40 for TWU. Not that big of a difference but i know it will be when i start driving it everyday..I have heard so many wonderful things about UTMB and how dedicated they are to students' success there is what made me really want to go there. As far as TWU, I know its a good school, i just haven't heard that many things about it maybe because its smaller? i really don't know. But i did like the fact that i didn't have to interview it was just straight up acceptance. Im just going to have to think about it for a little bit today and decide if i even want to go and take someone elses spot for the opportunity...do any of you know any major differences in the schools?

I have been calling everyone that I know and telling them I got an interview for UTMB and they scream "YEAH!!!!" then I say its on Friday the 13th and they all go "oh"......

I GOT AN INTERVIEW AS WELL!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH I saw Ms.Sealy's post and was like, great...now I really do have to check my email, and sure enough there was an email saying Interview Invite!!!! I'm SO EXCITED...I never knew an email could almost make me pee my pants. Just imagine how it's going to be if I get in lol. I guess I will be making my call and scheduling my time :) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! It's a beautiful day.
