Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.
Would you mind sharing your stats and when you applied? Congratulations!! :)
Thank you, and of course,
My teas scores*
Composite: 88
Reading: 87.2
Math: 93.8
Science: 91.5
English:79.2
The email did say that it was because of a strong academic background, and said I kept a 3.75 GPA throughout my last courses of prerequisites.
Man I wish I was you and didn't have to interview! Lol! I had an 89 composite TEAS abut only a 3.4 cumulative! Congratulations on your acceptance! And to the person that asked, no I was not given a card. I was walked outside and shown where Levin hall was and where to find some food while I waited for open house to start. I hiked my slacks back up and took off my heels and waded back to my car a mile away. I felt like I couldn't get a good feel on whether I was a good candidate or not. I was not asked any questions about my personal statement like some others. Like I said earlier, it was a very interesting experience. My interviewer was extremely kind though. Honestly, I cried a little. Only because I was just so thankful and excited to be there!
I feel like I just had lots of word salad, I was just Legitimately so excited to be there I had so many things I wanted to ask her, and talk to her about. She was very receptive. I agree with the "old school" comment. Lol I would get off topic and go into another facet of conversation that would inadvertently lead into the next question. Lol. Honestly I was also super interested in the Galveston national lab too! That's one of the few BSL-4 labs in the states. I'm trying to stay positive, if I don't get into to nursing school
again this semester, I definitely will keep my mind open for Biomedical sciences as well.
