UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

I spoke with the person who has my application and she said they are still making decisions for Spring 2019 and that those who haven't heard back yet that they will hear something soon. Everyone should get an acceptance, denial or waitlist notice. I haven't gotten anything. Yes, for SPRING 2019. I'm freaking out because I feel like so many people have heard and have done their medical stuff and found housing. So for those who haven't heard anything, there is still hope. I was shocked because I asked "but people have been waitlisted for spring 2019 so that means I will be waitlisted?" She said not necessarily.

Wow, that is very interesting. I know their process takes time but it's crazy how you haven't heard back yet! I'm on the waitlist right now but have not heard an update yet. It has been about 4 weeks since getting the waitlist email.

I know first round of summer 2019 interviews were mixed with my waitlist interview, my email gave me spots up to this Friday. Im assuming that's when they are done, and we should hopefully find out something late next week or the week after.

I believe someone mentioned on here that they are meeting again on the 24th? We should hear something next week, I hope!

Hello friends,

I was wondering exactly what should we seeing on our mystar portal? On the main screen (whenever you log in), I only see a menu on the left (self service and change my password options), and a student center on the right (with student center, browse course catalog, and scholarship application). Should I be seeing emails, updates, and other stuff there? I submitted the application on the day of the deadline, and I know it processed because the "apply for admission" tab is complete--marked with a green circle. Where exactly will we recieve emails, etc.? Thank you so much in advance.

From what I know, when you're accepted they'll tell you to accept on the MyStar (through Student Services) and then they'll give you info about an email address.

Until then there really isn't anything to check on MyStar. Unless you have things on the To-Do side.

Hi there! To my knowledge, you should be getting e-mails with the e-mail you used when you applied via NursingCAS for UTMB. As for MyStar, your missing coursework (if you have any) should pop up in your to-do list. The green circle will change if you get accepted, I believe to a yellow checkmark. If you get waitlisted or denied, it will still have a green circle, that does not change, only upon acceptance! As for correspondence related to interviews, waitlists, or any other form of communication, they should all be e-mailed to you. Hope this helps!

I just didn't know when they would start interviewing. It would be horrible if you got an email to be interviewed but didn't see it! Again, thank you so much!

You're welcome! If you get denied, you will get an email. There will be no change on your MyStar.

Hi - Does anyone know how long UTMB typically gives you to accept an offer of admission? Just curious. I interviewed with UTMB this week, and I was told I'd likely hear back with a decision within a few weeks. Unfortunately the other school I've applied to isn't likely to start making decisions until October/November. :/

They normally give you 2-3 weeks. Its definitely a common problem with applicants.
