UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

Hello!! So I got accepted to Summer 2020, yay! Started my hepb series again last week so I should be able to finish before summer. I have a random question, does anyone know if financial aid helps pay tuition in the summer?? Also how soon should we start for dorms or finding someone to live with?

Thank you ! ?

First off, congratulations! I'm a second-semester student here at UTMB and I can tell you picked the right nursing school, it definitely isn't easy but the people you do it with and the environment make the struggle worth it. I started Summer 2019 and financial are eligible for the tuition in the summer. There should be a Facebook group and Groupme going to be made for ya'll soon so that helps with finding roommates! I would say start looking for living arranges in late Feb-March so you won't be stressing about it in April (like I did, LOL). I hope this helped and once again, congratulations!

Hello!!

Congrats on your second semester!!

Inwas wondering if I could have your email or something to pick your brain a bit only if that is ok with you.

If not then it is ok ?

congrats on your second semester!

Yeah, forsure! Email me at [email protected].

I’m planning on the summer 2020 start and want to know what the day to day schedule is approximately. Can anyone give insight on typical time to start and typical end time, not counting studying, just the schedule?

First semester courses: Intro, Health Assessment, Patho, Adult

Monday: Intro from 1-3 and HA from 3-5.

For Adult and HA lab, you'll either have it on Tuesday or Wednesday all day (9-12 and 1-4; you might have adult or HA in the morning, it just depends).

Thursday: Patho from 9-12 and Adult from 1-4. You'll have to come in some days at 8:00 am for patho test reviews.

As for Adult clinical, it might be on a Tuesday/Wednesday (the day you don't have lab all day) or a Saturday ?

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you. So it looks like 1-5 M, 9-4 three other days with occasional Saturdays.

Is this fairly consistent for the other semesters?

I am in Needville and trying to see, with study time, whether or not I can pull this off with drive time.
