UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Published

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

I am applying for Spring 2019. Just started working on the essay/resume and going to take TEAS on March 1st.

Good luck on your TEAS! What's your GPA?

Thanks! When are you planning on taking TEAS? My overall GPA, which includes a lot of hours, is about 3.2; however, my science GPA is about 4.0 and prereq GPA 3.5.

My overall is a 3.0 as of now which also includes a lot of hours. I plan on taking my TEAS in May and I plan on applying in June for Summer 2019 because I'll be graduating with my bachelor's May 2019. I'm just excited lol!

Hey guys! I applied for both Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. Still waiting to hear back for the fall, but no denial letter yet!

Wishing you luck! I saw your stats on fall 2018. Lol mine isn't all that great so let me know if you get in please ?

So I retook the TEAS today. I wanted to boost my reading score that was low the first time I took the test. It was bugging me too much at night.

Reading 83

Math 97

Science 89

English 87

I have to say, the science section can be pretty tricky. They went deep into physiology this time. During the exam I had about 7-8 questions where I didn't know the answer, so I had to make an educated guess by process of elimination.

On math I missed a question because they wanted an "approximation" not an actual value, which is kind of BS if you ask me. oh well...

will do!

Advice for applicants, UTMB states on their website that a competitive applicant will have The Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Course completed. It's easy to do and there usually isn't a wait to get it done.

I have that completed as well so I can add it to certifications.
