UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Published

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

Who was your interviewer??

Ms. Glaze...and it was great. We went over the time and they had to call her twice to get us to stop talking...

I had her as well. She was very nice. What are your stats like if you don't mind me asking?

88 overall on TEAS, 4.0 in nursing pre-reqs...and i've also been a patient in the hospital multiple times due to surgery for a chronic illness, which we talked a lot about how i bring that perspective and the desire to make a change in nursing compared to how my care was. what about you?

I made an 84% on the TEAS and have a 3.7 pre-requisite GPA. I think my interview went well, too.

Has anyone who sent in their application on Aug. 15th received the supplemental application yet?

Yes, I have. I applied on the 15th.

Hmm. I haven't gotten it yet. :/ I emailed the school and they said it takes 7-10 business days after my application is verified on NCAS so I guess I'll keep waiting. When did you receive it?

Is anyone on the fence about moving to the island? I live with my parents in Friendswood which is like 45-1 hr of a commute. I've heard that the commute isn't terrible and then I've heard that they literally can't even imagine not living right by the school. HELP!

I live in Webster and my lease doesn't end until June of 2019 so I'm going to try it out the first semester to see if I'm going to move or not. Apparently there is a shuttle that can take us to UTMB as well.

From those I have talked to, say the same. The commute isn't that bad and my friend that moved there for the program said it was unnecessary because you do the clinical everywhere anyway. So you will go back and forth off the island anyway. Yes, it makes getting to class more convenient and fast, but it doesn't seem to be too difficult. You just have to do whats best for you. I will be commuting because of my family and stay over sometimes.

Hey guys, I got accepted for Spring semester, if anyone is lookingfor a roomate let me know. I'm a guy btw. Hope to see ya'll soon!

Does anyone know if Environmental Science is accepted as an Elective Science?

Or is it only Patho, Chem, and Bio that are accepted?
