Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.
If you don't mind me asking, what was your stats like?
From what I remember my overall/pre-req GPA is 3.4, science is 3.3. TEAS 78% overall(scored a 72 on science). So you can see I am VERY average grade wise. BUT, I have 11 years LVN experience in various settings and I made sure they knew that I could handle the program. I put my heart and life into my personal statement as well, which I think is a big factor. This is one thing I love about UTMB, they look at you as a person, not just grades. Of course this doesn't mean that you are not a good candidate as well. You may very well get called off the waitlist and if not, summer may be your time. Don't lose hope!
Oh I'm sorry. Keep trying and definitely apply to other schools. This was my second time applying with UTMB and I have been waitlisted with other schools. So it WILL happen! I trust God will get you where you need to be.
Thank you, that's so nice of you to say. Been pretty bummed out all day. I take the HESI on Monday and will send in my app for UT Health after that. I also applied to TWU. I'm wondering where else I should apply. Do you have any suggestions? What did you do differently the second time around to get accepted?

I just got an email that I was waitlisted. The email says that spring 2019 is full.
