UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

My mystar is now complete also:) now the wait begins. Do y'all know the next step? And for those accepted, did your status change to a check mark (admitted) before you received your acceptance letter in the mail or was it after?

My status changed to a check mark in mystar before I received an email or a letter.

congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats, gpa and teas? I know some of us are curious to know our chances of getting in. It's so nerve racking and I just wanna know already :/ are you going to accept your admittance or are you planning on a different school?

@anjarose23, I forgot to answer your question about if I'll be accepting or not. UTMB was the only school I applied to, so yes I have accepted my offer. :)

My mystar hasn't changed either. I will also call them on Wednesday if it does not change.

Anyone have their GPA/TEAS scores that they had and were accepted to this Spring cycle already? If you don't mind!

I hope the timeline for each specific step on the website holds true and we're not stuck waiting til December like the last spring admissions. (A friend applied and wasn't even interviewed until November)

Hi y'all! I just read through this whole thing lol and now I feel obligated to post a comment. Let's see...I used to be a student at utmb back in 2011-2012. I made all As except in pharm which I ended up dropping once and then failing the second time :( I was dismissed from the program after that for failure to matriculate. IDK WHY that class was so hard for me. anyway after being dismissed I enrolled in an LVN program at my local community college where I passed with flying colors, I whizzed through the NCLEX PN and I've been working as an LVN ever since! I love my job so much. I absolutely love being a nurse. Well I've applied to a lot of LVN to RN programs that I'm pretty sure I'm going to be accepted into but I really really really want to get back into UTMB. Since failing Pharm, I've really been studying my butt off and I know I'm ready this time. Anyway I am definitely rambling lol just wanted to say good luck to everyone! Hopefully they don't keep us waiting too long!

Hey y'all! I went to the utmb open house on Friday and talked to Mrs. Spruce. She said it can take between 8 and 16 weeks to start hearing about interviews from the end of the application period. Everyone hang in there. I know this wait is killing me too.

Hey! I applied for the Spring 2015 semester and my MyPortal password and username has been deleted. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it means??

They probably didn't receive your teas scores on time.
